VA CONCEALED CARRY
Our concealed carry class is designed to develop basic knowledge and training for students. The class is a whole day event that covers over 4 hours of classroom instructions and 3 hours of live fire exercises. We do not want you to only know the basic mechanics of handguns and ammunition but to also learn all the idiosyncrasies of firearms ownership.
The class will also include maintenance and proper safety for both the firearm and its ammunition. Being the beginning stage of firearm ownership, our Basic Pistol course will focus on safety, both to the firearm owner and those around them. It will also include safe and efficient handling of the firearm when being carried concealed.
The highlight of our concealed carry class however, will be the live fire exercise that is an integral part of our course. We will never send our students out without being familiar with how the firearm operates, the mental, and physical training to be efficient with their firearms. The Basic pistol course will prepare students to the next proficiency levels in firearms handling and safety should they desire to move forward in their training.
You can either bring your own pistol and ammunition when attending the class or we also encourage first time owners to sign up for class and we can provide you with the experience of shooting various types of firearms with various ammunition types.
This allows our students to know and understand themselves first and know what firearms fits them first before investing in one. Use of firearms is free and ammunition for the course can be charged at cost or students can bring their own ammunition for the live fire exercises.
These classes are National Rifle Association (NRA) Certified. This class is not a concealed carry permit but will qualify the attendees for a Commonwealth of Virginia Concealed Weapons Permit upon successful application for a concealed carry permit from their respective counties of residence.
